Communities caring for catchments
Australian Government departments and agencies are obliged by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 to ensure that online information and services are accessible by people with disabilities. There is also the requirement to make online resources accessible to those people with technical constraints, such as older browsers and lower speed Internet connections.
This web site has been designed to meet the Australian Government standards, including those that relate to access for people with disabilities. This site incorporates all relevant priority one and most priority two and priority three requirements from the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
The Waterwatch Australia web site has been developed to display adequately on all commonly used browsers. Special features have been included to enable effective operation by persons using accessibility hardware and/or software. The site is designed for an 800 x 600 screen resolution but will scale appropriately to both higher and lower screen resolutions.
For technical reasons and to meet some legal requirements, the Waterwatch Australia web site has a limited number of documents that cannot be provided in HTML format. In such cases, contact details have been provided for the supply of alternative non-web formats.
If you encounter accessibility difficulties with the Waterwatch Australia web site, please contact us:
